Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also look great.
